"Sumyn, can you borrow me a pen?" I asked. "Here you go." She handed me a pen. This conversation was heard by my English teacher as she passed by. She told me I was incorrectly used the word borrow instead of lend. The correct way should be "Can you lend me a pen?". From this incident, I began to think that grammar is important and should be used with the right approach.

Using the wrong grammar can lead to misunderstanding! |
Grammar can be defined as the structure and system of a language, or of languages in general, which is also about the study of how words and their component parts combine to form sentences. To me, grammar is important because it can help me to communicate with others and describe what I wanted to express clearly and efficiently. One of the best part is we can make meaningful sentences if we know the meanings of those words and the different ways of putting words together.
I am still in the process to improve my grammar skills, whether to speak and write better in English for personal reasons or academic reasons. Here I would like to share with you few tips about how to boost your English grammar skills and become a better writer and speaker.
*Get a tutor.
*Speak and/or write in English, often.
